Canadian Passports go interactive.

Passport Canada has now made the passport application virtual, making applying for passports easier.

Applicants are now able to fill out the passport application online using an interactive form that prompts you to enter the right information in the right places.

Applicants are still required to print off the form, sign it and either mail it to Passport Canada or submit it in person.

Porter to offer vacation packages.

Porter Aviation Holdings plans to offer regional vacation packages this spring, according to a Globe & Mail report.

Porter has registered the name Porter Escapes as the Canadian trademark, with the goal of marketing all-inclusive short-haul holiday packages that feature flights, hotels, car rentals, travel insurance and vacation services. These packages will fly leisure travellers during non-peak times - avoiding morning and afternoon rush hours on weekdays.

The destinations to be promoted include Myrtle Beach, SC, Mont Tremblant, QC, and Burlington, Vermont. Urban packages will be available for Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Boston, New York, Washington and Chicago. Toronto will also be offered as a destination for customers outside the Ontario capital.

Porter Airline's seasonal service to Myrtle Beach is back!

Porter Airlines commenced its seasonal service to Myrtle Beach this week. The service starts with twice-weekly flights, increasing to four times a week during peak season from March 1 through to April 30. Flights will operate Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and the service will continue until May 21.

Golfers travelling on Porter are reminded that golf clubs, balls and shoes need to be packed in a suitable, protective bag and are counted as one piece of luggage.
